Media Changemakers

Media Changemakers Lab is a leadership and media arts program from Veronica Arts Media, built for young storytellers, filmmakers, and changemakers. Participants gain the skills, mentorship, and resources to use film, digital media, and storytelling as tools for social impact.

Paid Stipend

Fellows earn a stipend upon successful completion of the semester.

Working media professionals provide hands-on training in camera work, sound, editing, interviewing, and producing.

Fellows attend municipal meetings, engage with local officials, and present their work to community members and elected leaders.

Experience & Grow

What You'll Do

Learn the craft

Train in camera operation, sound, lighting, interviewing, editing, and producing under the direction of working media professionals.

Investigate Your Community

Research a civic issue affecting your community — identifying sources, gathering evidence, and interviewing the people closest to it.

Produce original work

Write, shoot, and edit your own short film, PSA, or digital media campaign from concept through final cut.

Present publicly

Share your finished campaign with peers, community members, and local leaders at a public screening at the close of the program.

Engage local government

Attend municipal meetings, study how decisions are made in your city, and bring your questions directly to elected officials.
